FUNCTIONS OF UNITS

RESIDENTIAL UNIT

~To monitor and coordinate all Mahallat facilities requirement
~To plan and monitor the development of all Mahallat
~Secretariat for Board of Fellow recruitment
~Secretariat for MahallatCoordinationMeeting
~Secretariat for Principals ManagementMeeting

DISCIPLINE UNIT

~To monitor and supervise the discipline of Centre for Foundation Studies students at the Campus
~To enforce and ensure the overall effectiveness of the enforcement of rules and regulations at the Campus
~To prepare general report to the Disciplinary Authority of the University on the disciplinary cases
~To assist in preparing relevant documents / notes / materials of disciplinary proceeding to Legal Unit of IIUM
~To update, key-in database and keep records on students’ disciplinary cases

WELFARE UNIT

~Secretariat for the CFS Welfare Fund Committee
~Secretariat for the CFS IIUM Endowment Fund (Zakat)
~To manage the students insurance coverage and claim
~Special Allowance for ‘OrangKurangUpaya’ (OKU)
~Student Financial Assistance for Extended Students

MAHALLAT OFFICES

~Responsible for the arrangement of students accommodation
~Responsible on maintenance of the Mahallahbuilding(electrical, civil, mechanical and cleanliness)
~To provide basic facilities for social recreational needs of students
~To keep record on fellows report from the Mahallah
~Keeping record and control of the Mahallahfacilities and properties (inventories)
~To provide statistics on the students’spopulation , facilities and Maintenance record

MAHALLAH OFFICES AT NILAI CAMPUS

~Responsible for the arrangement of students accommodation

MRC: Background

The Mahallah Respresentative Committee (MRC) is a student body which serves the students' interests at the mahallah level. Specifically, it looks after the students' welfare and development. It acts as an intermediary or moderator between the mahallah officers and the students.

The MRC is also actively organizing programmes that involves the residential students and the mahallah administrative officers. The programmes include community service, integrated mahallah programmes (MaigFest), Iftar JamaƩ and many others.

The recruitment of MRC CFS is in the 1st semester of an academic year.

First and foremost,we, the committeee members of Mahallah Representative Committee of Mahallah Abdul Rahman Ibn Auf (MRC MARA) Centre for Foundation Studies International Islamic University Malaysia (CFS IIUM) would like show gratetudes to Allah the Greatest for giving us chance to contribute for Him.

The aim of this blog is to provide a medium for better communication between students, the MRC, and the mahallah administration. We hope that this blog will be fully utilised by CFS IIUM community, perticularly the residents of MARA.
